Seasons in the Sun

Remember that old song, friend? “Good bye to you, my trusted friend. We’ve known each other since we were nine or ten.

Do you see that we share so many things with the two friends in the song? Together we reached for the sky, fell down on earth, kept ourselves wandering where it would go. Together we had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun. But, in the end, the stars that we reached were just starfish on the beach.

You kept asking me, “Where will it lead us from here?”. I wished I could have replied with a smile, “How can we go forward when we don’t know which way to go?

It’s time now to give you the answer. I have nothing to say but “STAND UP AND FIGHT, DEAR.” Tell me, friend, that no matter what happens, you will stand and deliver. Tell me you will cherish your life which, like mine, is forever a harsh struggle. We can possibly be losers in the end, but at least we might feel pleased and proud that we have fought.

Good bye. Tomorrow I will miss you.

Dear Trang,

Thanks for the message. It made me shed some tears. I had a great time with you as you reminisced over the past time or as we passed by the Children's Palace, where we both spent a little bit of our childhood. It was so cool and pleasant that night, and the moon shone above us. I will try to remember the feeling of those fresh winds stroking my skin for some time.
We are two struggling spirits, each has to find their own path to happiness. I saw you laugh, I saw you cry, I witnessed your joys and pains. I hope we will see each other in happiness some day soon. Until then, we will stay in hope. No one will be able to take that hope from us.
